When I met you
When I met you, my heart stopped,
Heart and soul raced to the top.
You’re my queen and I’m your king
My heart you did deeply sting.
As our eyes meet in the halls,
My pride tumbles and it falls.
Finally asked you for a date,
Put my love in the hands of fate.
We can talk in your front yard,
Laugh and pull down all the stars.
You said I seemed nice and cool,
But your friends did not approve.
As I’m walking, my heart’s sinking.
I can’t help but keep from thinking.
