Unnecessary questions

If I needed tending to,

would you be there?

If I was crippled,

would I be able to count on your shoulder?

If I lost my eyes,

would you be my sight?

If I were cut,

Would you wipe the blood away?

If I lost all my money,

would you still call me honey?

If outside my body turned cold,

would you be my coat?

If I could not fight,

would you fight for me?

If my heart could no longer beat

would yours beat for me?

You should never have to ask

me those questions.
