Welcome to the Institute of English Studies.  As a student of our class, you will be exposed to literature, resources, assignments, and projects that will allow you to have the necessary tools to be a great successs.  We will follow the California English Language Arts Standards as we travel through this fascinating language covering grammar, syntax, figurative language, poetry, short stories, novels, informational material, and effective written and oral communication.

    I will put all my effort to make this subject as interesting and meaningful to you the student.  In turn, I expect you to take this class seriously and devote the necessary time and effort, inside and outside of class.
